Still, the competition for Mr. Gay Columbus was fierce, and these gents were in it to win it. Sponsored by Stonewall Union, the contest carried with it a $150 cash prize for the winner, which paled in comparison to the bragging rights. So long as one was 21 years old and mailed in the entry form 48 hours before the contest was to begin, they had a fighting chance to take home the sash.
